"Harry Potter Fans Albania" u krijua më 15 dhjetor 2012 si një grup në "Facebook" për të gjithë fansat e serisë "Harry Potter".
Në vitin 2014, HPFA nisi projektin "WikiPotter" i cili synon pasurimin e Wikipedia-s në gjuhën shqipe me artikuj në lidhje me botën e "Harry Potter". Nëse keni lexuar ndonjë artikull në shqip në lidhje me "Harry Potter" në "Wikipedia", gjasat janë që të jetë punuar nga një anëtar i HPFA.
Nga 2014 në 2016, HPFA iu bashkua nismës humanitare "Albania Cap Project" duke organizuar "Harry Potter & The Lost Caps". "Harry Potter & The Lost Caps" ishte një projekt i konceptuar në formën e një gare midis 4 shtëpive ku janë të ndara anëtarët e saj për mbledhjen e sa më shumë tapave të shisheve plastike. Për çdo 275 kg tapa të dorëzuara, ACP bënte të mundur dhurimin e 1 karrigeje me rrota për personat me status invaliditeti dhe anëtarët e HPFA mundën të siguronin disa dhjetëra kilogramë të tilla të mbledhura nga disa qytete të Shqipërisë.
Në vitin 2018, falë kërkesës së "Harry Potter Fans Albania", disa nga kabinat e qytetit u dekoruan nga Ndërmarrja e Dekorit e Bashkisë së Tiranës me imazhe në lidhje me "Harry Potter" ku figuronin Harri Poteri, Hoguortsi, Severus Pitoni dhe Luna Lovgudi. Kabinat janë të vendosura në të dyja anët e Lanës në zonën e Ali Demit dhe fotografi të tyret mund të gjenden në llogarinë tonë në "Instagram".
Gjithashtu, “WikiPotter” u bë WikiProjekti i parë i hapur në “Wikicitate” duke mbuluar aty të gjitha thëniet me rëndësi nga librat dhe filmat e “Harry Potter” dhe më tej.
Po atë vit, libri "Rrëfenjat e Bardit Bidëll" doli në treg në shqip. Përkthimi u realizua nga Marsiano Qendro, një anëtar i "Harry Potter Fans Albania", me ndihmën e komunitetit.
Sot HPFA numëron me qindra ndjekës brenda dhe jashtë vendit duke vazhduar ende të jetë grupi më i madh në Shqipëri për të gjithë fansat e Botës Magjike së J. K. Rowling.
Harry Potter Fans Albania was founded on 15 January 2012 as a Facebook group for all Harry Potter series fans.
In 2014, HPFA launched WikiPotter, a project aiming to enrich Albanian Wikipedia with Harry Potter related articles. If you've ever read a Harry Potter related article on Albanian Wikipedia, chances are that it has been written by one of our members.
From 2014 to 2016, HPFA joined the humanitarian cause Albania Cap Project by organizing Harry Potter & The Lost Caps. Harry Potter & The Lost Caps was a project created in the form of a race between the 4 houses in which the members are split into, to see which house would be able to gather the most caps. For every 275 kg of bottle caps delivered, ACP made possible the donation of 1 wheelchair for the people who needed them and HPFA members managed to gather several dozen kilos of bottle caps from some Albanian cities.
In 2018, following Harry Potter Fans Albania's proposal, some of the city's cabins were decorated with Harry Potter related images by The Decoration Enterprise of Municipality of Tirana featuring Harry Potter, Hogwarts, Severus Snape and Luna Lovegood. The cabins can be found on both sides of Lana river on the Ali Demi area and pictures of them can be found on our Instagram account.
Also, WikiPotter became the first ever WikiProject on Albanian Wikiquote, covering all notable quotes from the Harry Potter books and movies and more.
At the same year, The Tales of Beedle The Bard came out in Albanian. The translation was made by Marsiano Qendro, a member of Harry Potter Fans Albania with the help of the community.
Today HPFA counts hundreds of followers inside and outside of the country and still continues to be the largest group in Albania for the Wizarding World of J. K. Rowling fans.
